30 Amp Analog DC Meter with Shunt:

Panel type meter for in dash or in an enclosure. Meter comes with shunt so that heavy wires need not be run when meter is mounted in a remote location.

Shunt is mounted in series with the load from the power source and smaller wires are run from the shunt to the panel meter. The panel meter reads the milli volts across the shunt and desplays the amps on the meter.
