AK-102 LED Flasher. Kit makes 4 separate circuit boards to flash in a set pattern (see video). One board 16 Red LEDs, One board of 16 Blue LEDs and one Board of 16 White LEDs and one control circuit board. Circuit uses diode steering that can be modified to produce different patterns ie: FlashA, FlashB, FlashC and repeat or FlashA FlashA FlashB FlashB FlashC depending on which diodes are installed in the control board. Instruction are included with kit.

 

This is an Educational kit that demonstrates the use of one of the oldest chips, the 555 timer and digital one of ten outputs chips, the 4017. The 555 chip is used to generate a pulse, which is fed into the 4017 chip to advance the output to the next output and then recycle after 10 counts. Using diodes on the output of the 4017, the three NPN transistor send power to the LED groups, A,B & C. The speed of operation is controlled by the potentiometer that determines the pulse rate of the 555 timer.
